July 2018 – Kickoff for migration from ALEPH Library Management System to ALMA Library Services Platform

SUNY held Kickoff Meetings to discuss the migration process, project overview, roles and responsibilities, and phases of the project to migrate from ALEPH  (15-year old Client-Server based architecture) to ALMA (Ex-Libris Software as a Service – SaaS model) and PRIMO (patron/front-facing discovery service) .  This was a SUNY-wide project involving all 65 SUNY campus libraries. The SUNY Geneseo Alma Implementation Team consisted of  Corey Ha (chair), Bill Jones, Alana Nuth, and Dan Ross.

Each SUNY Library worked diligently to complete the many migration forms and configuration worksheets. Each SUNY Library needed to have at least one person Alma Administrator certified and Primo Administrator certified prior to Go Live.
