2001 – Webmail, Wireless Notebooks, and Public Computer Room on Geneseo Campus

  • WebMail is implemented.
  • Wireless Notebook Program starts with over 250 students participating (featured in the Geneseo Scene, November 2001).
  • Web Team Assistance pilot program is launched; students available “to help departments on campus redesign and update their web presence.
  • The College Union’s first public computer room opens, through collaborative effort by Student Association, College Union and Activities, Student and Campus Life, and CIT. It is equipped with 8 Dells and 5 iMacs.
  • The COPA (COmputer Project Area) was renovated. It is one of the oldest computer labs on campus.
