1989 – Milne Library adds 2 Compact Disc Databases; Compact Discs and Players for loan; 3M photocopiers for use

“We are pleased to report that we have added two more databases
in this exciting new format…The ERIC and PsycLIT CD-ROM databases have
been well received by students and faculty, and both
receive heavy use.”

“SOMETHING NEW AT MILNE: COMPACT DISCS AND PLAYERS
During the past year Milne Library has begun
purchasing compact discs, and the collection has grown
to more than 350 titles. Because of their durability,
ยท compact discs will be the preferred format for sound
recordings in the College Libraries. The collection now
includes primarily classical and Broadway show music, but
other types of recordings have also been ordered.
Although all compact discs are listed in the card catalog,
a separate listing is also available at Milne’s Reserve Desk.
The compact discs are housed at the Reserve Desk and
may be signed out there for a one week period.”
